25&ON — Grounded in Resonance Play-reading Showcase: Flowing Warblers
The Artistic Director of On & On, Chan Ping-chiu, has traveled widely to gather stories from Hong Kongers across the globe, culminating in the creation of an original play titled "Flowing Warblers." Employing a multi-threaded, interwoven narrative, the play explores the diverse yet interconnected decisions about whether to stay or leave, examining themes of migration, settling, drifting, and commuting. The play portrays the efforts of the dispersed to carve out a place for themselves amid memories, future prospects, and historical context.
Before its official premiere in June, excerpt of the play is presented in the format of a play-reading.
