The Beheaded Smile, a wuxia theater production co-written for the first time by Leung Tin-chak and Santayana Li, is set in a chaotic border inn during wartime. It explores how people should handle themselves in adversity, injecting the ancient chivalrous spirit into contemporary society dominated by realism. Starting from an original martial arts story, it delves into human nature and beliefs in turbulent times through the intertwining of martial arts prowess, embodying the spirit of chivalry.
