Prometheus Bound

Prometheus Bound

On & On partners with Theatre de AJMER (France) to present Aeschylus's “Prometheus Bound”, a Greek tragedy from around 480 BC. The story follows Prometheus, who defies the gods by giving fire to humanity, sparking civilisation. As punishment, Zeus chains him to a mountain to endure eternal torment, while gods visit him, sharing mythic tales.

Directed by Franck Dimech, noted for his minimalist approach and impactful storytelling, the production features Hong Kong actors on the cliffs of the Caucasus. Through poetic expression and tension, they revive Prometheus's defiance, giving this ancient narrative modern significance.
