Off Ground
The play is collaboratively created and performed by four seasoned artists from the theatre industry, including director and actor Lee Chun-chow, lighting designer and pop-up artist Sunfool Lau, stage designer Tsang Man-tung, and musician Chan Wai-fat. These prominent figures, who usually shine behind the scenes, have come together to break their usual styles, combining directing and acting in an innovative display that challenges their creative norms.
Aiming to invert the conventional, the play creates a highly personalised and original production. The term “Off Ground” serves not just as a title but as a starting point for a journey of artistic exploration, integrating performing, language, text, installations, sound, performance art, and rituals in a reimagined space at the Cattle Depot Theatre.
