Theatre x Moving Image — music for airports

The text stems from Wong Hin-yan's 2019 theatrical piece "Ballads of Expulsion," created with Vee Leong and Snow Huang. This new adaptation transforms the stage work into a visual medium. Wong Hin-yan takes on multiple roles: directing, editing, and crafting the auditory landscape. Filmmaker Wong Fei-pang and his crew shape the visual narrative, their lenses closely following the actors' nuanced portrayals.

This rendition delves deeper into the work's core inquiry: How do individuals grapple with the complex, often unseen truths that underpin everyday existence when abruptly faced with chaos? Be it through acts of terror, radioactive threats, or personal loss, the piece looks at how we deal with harsh realities that normal life often hides.
