Actors are indispensable to the New Writing Movement, which continually demands they explore new techniques and performance styles. Following 2016's "New Writing: An Actor's Approach," the 2019 edition, On & On focuses on enhancing actors' initiative during rehearsals, ultimately unleashing their creativity in contemporary theatre. Their role evolves from simply understanding and executing to actively interpreting, creating, and collaboratively shaping an ensemble.

Guided by the dramaturg and mentors, eight young actors engage in over a month of intensive study, group experiments, and rehearsals, culminating in a performance of Mark Ravenhill's "Pool (no water)".  Through this process, they explore new writing and performance approaches from multiple perspectives.
