Electronic City (director’s cut)

Electronic City

A Cantonese staging of Falk Richter’s theatrical text.

Falk Richter's "Electronic City" is a poignant exploration of modern alienation within the globalised world. It follows Tom and Joy, a couple emblematic of the corporate and transient workforce, who navigate life across indistinguishable global cities and interchangeable jobs. Amidst this mechanical existence, they experience a simultaneous system collapse and, paradoxically, find themselves in love. As they face their digitalised reality, they count down to what might be their final escape, posing urgent questions about the possibility of genuine connection in an electronically dominated world.
