[Between Text & Performance] Showcase of contemporary European theatre: Far Away
Written in 2000, "Far Away" is characterised by its refined and concise language. It presents the cruel realities of today's world in an almost allegorical manner, compressing them into a chaotic and manic imaginary realm. This distant world is deeply symbolic, subtly revealing an apocalyptic landscape. Yet, the pervasive violence in everyday life feels disconcertingly close. At first glance, it uncannily aligns with the various conflicts, wars, and calamities that have erupted in different parts of the world in recent years.
