Myth of Archaeology Bird: The Vanished Wings
In 1997, Chan Ping-chiu and a group of artists driven by an exploration of cultural identity staged "Myth of Archaeology Bird", embarking on a journey of identity discovery on stage. It was heralded as a quintessential "post-1997 drama".
In 2007, ten years after the handover, Chan rallies both veteran and new generation actors to revisit and redevelop the 1997 version, creating "Myth of Archaeology Bird: The Vanished Wings". This new production merges a retrospective of the 1997 version with post-97 issues, engaging the audience in a captivating and playful exploration of identity, and offering an exceptional theatrical experience that comes once in a decade.
