Beautiful Teens

Draw inspiration from the martial arts novel "The Deer and the Cauldron”, this play delves deep into the human heart's desire for beauty, discussing the concept of beauty and ugliness that resides in everyone's mind, as well as life experiences related to beauty.

Ake is one of the most beautiful of Wei Xiaobao's seven wives in Jin Yong's martial arts novel "The Deer and the Cauldron", but is she happy? She is raped by Wei Xiaobao, whom she dislikes; bears his child; and is abandoned by Zheng Keshuang, the man she loves, only to end up married to Wei Xiaobao. We all see her beauty, but do we choose to ignore her experiences? Director Chen A-mao from Taiwan Walker Theatre, along with twelve actors portraying Ake, Wei Xiaobao, and Zheng Keshuang, seeks new meanings with contemporary issues through "The Deer and the Cauldron".
